Glazing is layered combinations of flux lines, multiple applications of intense color dots, colored rim stripes, and multiple overcoats.
Inspiration for this piece is the vibrant colors and patterns that occur naturally in exotic bird feathers. I was thinking about viewing this large platter through a kaleidoscope while arranging the design.
