Bonfire Vase

Wheel thrown stoneware that is altered and sculpted, then electric fired to Cone 6.
Glazing is a combination of layers that include line work, flux, intense color dots, and overcoats including crystals.
The inspiration for this piece comes from staring into bonfires; the dancing shapes with the changing flashes of color and sparks. The form follows the shape of flames as they rise and flare at their peak.
