Right In Front Of You

I create work as a response to my surroundings, using the landscape to connect and inspire my viewers to see the world around them in a new light. I take reference photos in the parks around my home in Cleveland and use the photographs as inspiration for compositions. Once I am in my studio, I use my palette to extract and define hues and shades that may not normally be seen by the naked eye. I paint these scenes in more vibrant tones, accentuating the reality of the space, as well as describing the essence of a moment in time.
