Florid Manifesto

Textiles have historically been seen as a women's craft, a domestic art. Using a punch needle, I paint with yarn to create wall hangings that stand alone as art objects, focusing on abstract geometric compositions to explore the tension between organic materials and the rigidity of hard-edge grids. It is these boundary spaces that interest me most, the tender points where expectations intersect, where ruptures are possible.
