 RULES OF ENTRY:

  • Artists must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States or Canada - please note shipping of Artwork will not be accepted.
  • Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces of original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media - entry fee is $15 per piece- a maximum of 3 pieces allowed for this call.
  • All work must be submitted between 10AM Monday January 15, 2024 and 11:59PM Friday February 23, 2024
  • All work must have been executed within the last 5 years and not previously shown at BAYarts.
  • Time-based, electronic media, performance art, and installations will NOT be accepted.
  • Giclee Prints of original artwork will NOT be accepted
  • Work exceeding 42 inches in any dimension will be excluded due to space
  • Work may not exceed seventy pounds in weight
  • Entries must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition
  • Artists must grant permission for BAYarts to use their images and information in promotional materials
  • Entry Fee is non-refundable

TIMELINE FOR NOTIFICATION:

All entries will be notified between 12 PM and 8 PM on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024 by email.   A list of all accepted work will be posted on the BAYarts website www.bayarts.net Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at 10 AM.
 
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCEPTED ENTRANTS:
All accepted work should be delivered to BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village OH 44140 - Tuesday March 5th 2024 between 10AM and 7PM and Wednesday March 6th between 9AM and 12PM. All work must be wired and ready to hang - work not wired will not be accepted- no sawtooth hangers, please.  BAYarts WILL RETAIN 40% OF EACH SALE.
 

Jurors:
Patty Flauto

Patty Flauto is a contemporary abstract painter and art educator living in RockyRiver, Ohio. Creativity runs through her work and her life with an unending passion for color and design. Her abstract paintings are acrylic on canvas. Themes reflect perceptual landscapes, organic shapes, lines and unexpected compositions. Ms. Flauto has exhibited nationally. Her work has appeared in The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Butler Institute of American Art, The McDonough Museum.

Rob Hartshorn

Rob Hartshorn is a fourth-generation artist, and has been showing his artwork in galleries, homes and events throughout Cleveland and the US for over 40 years. Rob works in a wide range of media including oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoals, watercolors, and photography. He is best known for his award-winning portraits in oil and in pastel with their intimate compositions, luminous glazing, evocative sense of place, and attention to warmth and detail. A full-time working artist, Rob owns Hartshorn Studios which has operated area galleries, studios, art classes, art walks and cultural events. His first retail gallery was in Tremont on Professor Avenue; others included 78th Street Studios and the Brownhoist Building.
